unmeet: unmeet O.E. unmæte "immoderate, excessive," from UN- (Cf. un-) (1) "not" + MEET (Cf. meet) (adj.). Cf. O.H.G. unmazi. Meanings "unfitting" and "unsuited" (for some purpose) are from 1520s.
