imperturbable
imperturbable (adj.) c.1500, from M.Fr. imperturbable and directly from L.L. imperturbabilis "that cannot be disturbed" (Augustine), from assimilated form of in- "not, opposite of" (see IN- (Cf. in-) (1)) + *perturbabilis, from L. perturbare "to confuse, disturb" (see PERTURB (Cf. perturb)).
