enamor
enamor c.1300, from O.Fr. enamorer "to fall in love with; to inspire love (12c., Mod.Fr. enamourer), from en-, causative prefix (see EN- (Cf. en-) (1)), + amour "love," from amare "to love" (see AMY (Cf. Amy)). An equivalent formation to Prov., Sp., Port. enamorar, It. innamorare.
