biblioklept

biblioklept
biblioklept (n.) 1881, from BIBLIO- (Cf. biblio-) + Gk. kleptes "thief" (see KLEPTOMANIA (Cf. kleptomania)). Walsh calls it "a modern euphemism which softens the ugly word book-thief by shrouding it in the mystery of the Greek language."

Etymology dictionary. 2014.
