autocratic
autocratic (adj.) 1823, from Fr. autocratique, from autocrate, from Gk. autokrates (see AUTOCRAT (Cf. autocrat)). Earlier autocratoric (1670s) was directly from Gk. autokratorikos. Autocratical is attested from 1801.
