conceivable
conceivable mid-15c. (implied in conceivableness), from CONCEIVE (Cf. conceive) + -ABLE (Cf. -able). Originally in a now-obsolete sense "that can be received." Meaning "that can be imagined" is attested from 1620s (in conceivably).
