Glagolitic
Glagolitic 1861, from Serbo-Cr. glagolica "Glagolitic alphabet," from O.C.S. glagolu "word" (see CALL (Cf. call)) + Greek suffix -itic. The older of the two Slavic writing systems (CYRILLIC (Cf. Cyrillic) is the other), it was designed by Cyrillus c.863 C.E.
